ASA acquires Kroocial

We are excited to announce that the American Sailing Association, the world’s leading authority on sailing education, with over 300 affiliated sailing schools worldwide, has acquired Kroocial, the innovative sailing App that connects people interested in sharing the experience of sailing.

Kroocial was launched in the San Francisco Bay area several years ago, with the mission of making sailing accessible to everyone, while promoting an active and healthy lifestyle in the community. Kroocial quickly developed a large community of users passionate about sailing, ranging from novice to experienced sailors, and has allowed thousands of people to connect and sail socially through the convenience of the Kroocial Sailing App.

The American Sailing Association will now build upon the substantial work that Kroocial has done, and help grow the sport of sailing by expanding the reach of the App throughout the sailing world. ASA will also add a host of new features, making it easier than ever to match sailors looking for people interested in sharing the experience of sailing.

ASA plans to implement some new and very exciting features, including re-launching with an easy to remember new name, ‘Go Sailing‘. The app will continue to work as always during the transition.
